B6 ARMOR PACKAGE
Protected cockpit, passenger cabin and engine-bay configuration.
B6 armored protection. Ford commercial-truck DNA. Built for real-world ownership. Available through Ready Gunner.
The Ready Gunner Renegade APC combines a Ford heavy-duty platform with B6 armor, a protected passenger cabin and equipment selected for serious real-world capability.
Underneath the armored body is a familiar Ford powertrain. The vehicle uses a Ford Ford 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel, paired with a Ford Ford TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission, plus heavy-duty suspension components selected to support the additional armor weight.
Ready Gunner's goal is to offer a vehicle that is not only protected, but usable, serviceable and purpose-built.
The Ready Gunner Spec Build is our selected Renegade APC configuration, bringing together protection, visibility, recovery capability, passenger access, storage and real-world usability. Additional upgrades are available for customers who want to take the build even further.

The Ready Gunner configuration uses forward, rear and side camera views to improve visibility around a large armored vehicle.
The supplied vehicle information describes B6 armor around the full cockpit, passenger cabin and engine bay. The examples below summarize the protection described for this configuration.
The supplied vehicle information states that the ballistic glass is designed to withstand up to three impacts from 5.56 ammunition in the rated test condition.
Ballistic performance depends on ammunition, test standard, shot placement, spacing, angle and final vehicle configuration. Confirm certified protection level and documentation before purchase.
The Renegade uses a Ford heavy-duty truck platform with suspension components selected to carry the armor package. A Ford engine, Ford transmission and OEM-style Ford driver environment give the vehicle a more familiar service and ownership foundation than many specialized military platforms.
The Renegade is not trying to be a surplus military vehicle. Its appeal is different: armored capability combined with a Ford-based platform, modern controls and an ownership experience built around civilian, commercial and fleet customers.
MRAP vehicles were developed around military survivability and mission requirements. The Renegade takes a different path, using an armored commercial-truck foundation rather than a military logistics platform.
HMMWV and Hummer-style vehicles are known for military utility heritage and off-road proportions. The Renegade instead starts with a Ford heavy-duty truck platform and adds an enclosed armored passenger cabin and specialty equipment.
Oshkosh tactical vehicles are purpose-built around military and government fleet requirements. For buyers who do not need that military procurement ecosystem, the Renegade offers an armored platform built around recognizable Ford components.

The engine and transmission are Ford components, which means routine powertrain service can generally be handled through qualified Ford commercial-truck service facilities.
Armor-specific, body and specialty equipment service should be coordinated with Ready Gunner or the appropriate specialty provider.
The supplied vehicle information places the current Ready Gunner build at approximately 18,000 lb.
At that approximate weight, the vehicle is below the federal 26,001 lb Class B CDL threshold based on weight alone.
This does not mean every Renegade configuration or every use case is automatically non-CDL. Final GVWR/GVW, towing configuration, passenger capacity, commercial use, state law, registration classification and applicable exemptions can affect requirements. Buyers should confirm their specific vehicle and use with the appropriate state licensing authority.
Ready Gunner does not directly provide armored-vehicle driving or tactical operations training.
Ready Gunner can connect customers with experienced military and law-enforcement specialists for consultation or advanced scenario-specific training when requested.
Fleet pricing referenced by Ready Gunner is for qualifying orders of 10 or more vehicles. Final price depends on configuration, equipment, upgrades, production availability, delivery requirements and written quote.
