The PSA Olcan represents Palmetto State Armory's innovative take on the modern bullpup rifle. Built around a rugged long-stroke gas piston operating system, the Olcan combines the reliability of piston-driven operation with the compact overall length that makes bullpup platforms ideal for confined environments, vehicle use, and suppressor applications.

At the center of the rifle is a 14.5-inch 4150V Chrome Moly Steel barrel with a corrosion-resistant nitride finish, 1:7 twist rate, and 1/2x28 thread pitch. A factory SilencerCo ASR Flash Hider is permanently pinned and welded to achieve a compliant 16-inch overall barrel length while providing compatibility with SilencerCo ASR mounting systems and most SilencerCo suppressors.

Unlike traditional AR-15 platforms, the Olcan utilizes a monolithic 6105 aluminum upper receiver with a fully captured recoil system that eliminates the need for a buffer tube. This allows for the rifle's compact bullpup configuration while maintaining excellent balance and reliability.

The long-stroke piston system utilizes an 8620 steel front trunnion, 4340 carrier, and a shot-peened Carpenter 158 seven-lug bolt to provide dependable cycling under harsh conditions. A tool-less 8-position adjustable gas block allows shooters to quickly optimize the rifle for suppressor use or varying ammunition without the need for tools.

Additional premium features include an ambidextrous side charging handle that can be swapped from left to right without tools, an ambidextrous magazine release, the ergonomic Die Free Co. Kung Fu Grip, and a durable black hardcoat anodized finish throughout.
