The SIG Sauer M400 Forge is a short-barreled rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO with an 11.5-inch cold hammer forged barrel and a carbine-length direct impingement gas system. It ships with a factory-installed ROMEO-MSR Gen II red dot sight and one 30-round magazine. As an SBR, this rifle is an NFA item and transfers on an ATF Form 4.

Cold Hammer Forged Barrel

The 11.5-inch barrel is cold hammer forged on SIG's MCX hammer-forge machinery, with a 1:7 twist and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle fitted with an A2 birdcage flash hider. On the 11.5-inch Forge variants the bore is chrome-lined, with an FMC coating on the barrel exterior.

TriggerTech Two-Stage Trigger

The factory trigger is a TriggerTech two-stage duty trigger with a flat blade, rated at 3.5 lb.

10-Inch Free-Float M-LOK Handguard

A 10-inch free-float handguard provides M-LOK attachment slots and a full-length Picatinny top rail.

ROMEO-MSR Gen II Red Dot Included

The included ROMEO-MSR Gen II is a 1x sight with a 2 MOA red dot and a 20 mm objective. It offers 12 illumination settings (10 daylight, 2 night vision), runs on a CR2032 battery for up to 35,000 hours, sits on an absolute co-witness mount, is IPX7 rated, and weighs 5.7 oz. It is covered by SIG's Infinite Guarantee.

Controls

The Forge carries an ambidextrous safety selector, a fully ambidextrous magazine release, and a Breek Arms Warhammer ambidextrous charging handle. The bolt release is on the left side. The pistol grip has a reduced angle, and the black anodized forged receivers keep the short-barrel variants to a single finish.
