HK Mark 23 .45 ACP 5.87" Threaded Barrel Black 12RD
Heckler & KochHK Mark 23 .45 ACP 5.87" Threaded Barrel Black
The Heckler & Koch Mark 23 is a full-size .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol developed from HK's work on the U.S. Special Operations Command handgun program. Built around a DA/SA operating system, 5.87" threaded barrel, polymer frame, and match-grade trigger, the Mark 23 remains one of the most distinctive pistols in the HK lineup.
This configuration features a matte black finish, 3-dot sights, ambidextrous controls, and a 12-round magazine capacity. Two 12-round magazines are included with the pistol.
5.87" Threaded Barrel
The Mark 23 features a 5.87" threaded barrel, providing the extended barrel configuration for which the platform is well known. The threaded muzzle allows the use of compatible muzzle-mounted accessories when properly configured.
Suppressor and other muzzle accessories are not included.
DA/SA Operating System
The Mark 23 uses a traditional double-action/single-action (DA/SA) operating system. The pistol incorporates a dedicated decocker along with an ambidextrous safety lever, providing the control layout associated with the Mark 23 platform.
Match-Grade Trigger
HK equips the Mark 23 with a match-grade trigger. The pistol was developed with an emphasis on accuracy and demanding operational requirements while maintaining a production design rather than relying on individually hand-fitted match components.
Ambidextrous Controls
The Mark 23 incorporates several controls designed for convenient manipulation, including an ambidextrous magazine release and ambidextrous safety lever. An extended slide release provides an enlarged control surface for operating the slide.
3-Dot Sights
A traditional 3-dot sight system provides a familiar iron-sight arrangement for aiming. This configuration is supplied with iron sights and is not listed as an optics-ready model.
U.S. Special Operations Command Heritage
Development of the MK23 project began in 1991 as HK worked on a pistol for U.S. Special Operations Command. According to HK, the first MK23 pistols were delivered to USSOCOM for operational deployment on May 1, 1996. The commercial Mark 23 carries forward the distinctive design developed through that program.

Its 5.87" threaded barrel, match-grade trigger, DA/SA operating system, ambidextrous controls, and full-size polymer frame create a configuration unlike most contemporary HK pistols.
For shooters looking specifically for the classic black HK Mark 23, this configuration retains the platform's signature threaded barrel and control layout while including two 12-round magazines.
