The Smith & Wesson Performance Center Shield X Carry Comp takes the versatile Shield X platform and adds performance-focused upgrades designed to provide a more refined shooting experience. Chambered in 9mm, this compact striker-fired pistol combines a 3.6-inch ported barrel, PowerPort system, flat-face trigger, RMSc/K optics-ready slide, and Ameriglo Trooper LumiGreen front night sight in a compact, high-capacity package.

Built through Smith & Wesson's Performance Center, the Shield X Carry Comp is designed for shooters who want the compact dimensions and versatility of the Shield X with enhanced recoil management and faster target recovery. An extended ergonomic grip accommodates increased-capacity magazines while aggressive front and rear slide serrations, a reversible magazine catch, and front accessory rail add everyday functionality.

Performance Center PowerPort

The defining feature of the Shield X Carry Comp is Smith & Wesson's PowerPort system. Working with the pistol's 3.6-inch ported barrel, the PowerPort is designed to leverage expanding gases during firing to counter muzzle rise and reduce felt recoil.

By helping drive the muzzle back toward the target, the system is designed to provide a flatter shooting experience and help the shooter recover the sight picture more quickly between shots.

RMSc/K Optics-Ready Slide

The Performance Center Shield X Carry Comp features a flat-plane RMSc/K optic cut for mounting compatible micro red dot sights. The factory optics-ready configuration allows the pistol to be equipped with a compatible optic without requiring aftermarket slide machining.

Ameriglo Trooper LumiGreen Front Night Sight

Smith & Wesson equips this Performance Center configuration with an Ameriglo Trooper LumiGreen front night sight. The enhanced front sight provides a highly visible aiming reference and complements the pistol's optics-ready configuration.

Flat-Face Trigger
