Chambered in 9mm, this compact striker-fired pistol features a 3.6-inch ported barrel, PowerPort system, flat-face trigger, RMSc/K optics-ready slide, and Ameriglo Trooper LumiGreen front night sight.

This particular configuration is equipped with a manual thumb safety, distinguishing it from the non-manual-safety version of the Shield X Carry Comp. It also features the Shield X's longer ergonomic grip, aggressive front and rear slide serrations, reversible magazine catch, and front accessory rail. The pistol ships with both a 13-round and 15-round magazine.

Performance Center PowerPort System

The defining performance upgrade of the Shield X Carry Comp is Smith & Wesson's PowerPort system. Paired with the pistol's 3.6-inch ported barrel, the system is designed to leverage high-pressure gases during firing to help counter muzzle rise and reduce felt recoil.
