HK Mark 23 .45 ACP Pistol – FDE

The Heckler & Koch Mark 23 is a double/single-action pistol chambered in .45 ACP with a Flat Dark Earth polymer frame. It is the pistol developed for the US Special Operations Command OHWS program, built around a 5.87-inch threaded barrel with an O-ring lockup, a match-grade trigger, and HK's recoil reduction system. Two 12-round magazines are included.

Threaded Polygonal Barrel with O-Ring

The 5.87-inch barrel has a polygonal bore and is threaded M16x1 for a suppressor. An O-ring on the barrel acts as a bushing for consistent lockup shot to shot.

Match-Grade Trigger

Per the HK operator's manual, the match trigger breaks at 4.85 lb in single action and 12.13 lb in double action.

Separate Decocker and Ambidextrous Safety

Unusually, the Mark 23 carries a frame-mounted decocking lever separate from its ambidextrous safety lever, so it can be carried cocked and locked. Controls also include an ambidextrous magazine release and an extended slide release, the extractor doubles as a loaded-chamber indicator, and HK's Lock-Out Safety device is fitted. The oversized trigger guard accommodates gloves.

Frame and Mounting Grooves

The frame is corrosion-proof fiber-reinforced polymer with steel inserts, in Flat Dark Earth, under a one-piece machined steel slide. The dust cover has HK's proprietary universal mounting grooves — that groove pattern predates the Picatinny standard, and adapter rails are available separately.

Sights

The fixed patridge-style 3-dot sights are adjustable for windage and elevation and stand high enough to clear a mounted suppressor.
